Do you ever see slime when you take a hike? If you have you are seeing a slug's trail. If you followed that "trail" of slime you would definitely come across the slug who made the slime. Slugs are a slimy mollusk. They usually live in damp areas like under rocks or in grass. They feed on soft leafy vegetation, mostly, although they must NOT eat or go near salt!
Q: "IS A SLUG A SNAIL????"
A: a slug is not a snail but a slug resembles a snail. The two are different because first of all, a snail has a shell. DUUUUUH? Also, slugs live in gardens, unlike snails. A lot of people think slugs are snails who lost shells, but now you know that is absurd. So the next time you see a trail of slime, follow it to see what you can find.

The Great Blue Heron
Around my house on the beach, I see these amazing, giant birds walking around the swamps nearby. These herons live in areas like swamps. Adult blue herons weigh about 50 lbs. They usually eat fish, since they live near them. Like many other birds, blue herons migrate. They also have nests. Many people ask, "are great blue herons actually blue?" They are, but a very unique, yet pretty shade of blue. Whenever I see these birds I get excited. I hope you can see one too, one day!

The Deer
In my town, these cool mammals are very common. They hang around my house a lot. Male deer have antlers, and females, (or does) don't. Deer can have rabies and can spread a lot of ticks. I have seen many deers run over fences and other high things. They're amazing jumpers in other words. Although deer are cool you should not get too close, or you can get a tick. One of the most awesome things a deer can do, is hear. They can hear things from far away. They are very sensitive to people. (they get scared). Sadly, many people hunt deer for fun and food. Even though deer are everyday-animals, they still are amazing.

Not Your Regular House Cat
A lot of my friends have cats. Normal house cats! After I saw this video, I saw a kind of cat I've never seen before. It's a nyan cat.
This video is dumb, but that's why it's funny. This cat has a body of a poptart and a head of a cat. The cat is in space, and a rainbow comes out of its behind. There are also other videos about nyan cat that you should check out, like nyan cat falls in love, and nyan cat battles. They're all so cute and funny! It's hard to believe but, the original video is literally 10 HOURS LONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you are interested in poptarts, computer animated cats, and rainbows take a look at this video. *** is it just me, or is this dog adorable?
The Bumble Bee
It landed on my hand. I did not know what it was. It felt fuzzy-ish. I looked around the playground in kindergarten, and saw kids running and screaming as the bees chased them.
Ever since that day, I've always loved bumble bees. Most kids are afraid of them. I know why. Most bees have stingers, but the stings don't hurt at all compared to a wasp. Like most bees, they feed on pollen and nectar. They also live in nests. They will die if they sting only when their stinger remains inside of you. They also make honey like most bees do. They live in colonies, and work as a team. If you think about it, there is NO reason to scream when you see a bumble bee. Be their friend. [Wasps are a different story]!

The Daddy Long Legs Spider
When I was little I noticed that all my friends at nature-camp, thought these harmless spiders were harmful. I have always known size never matters.( I should know considering my height)! Anyway. I usually see these spiders in damp areas. I also know they can walk upside-down or sideways. When these insects are about to lay eggs, they're behinds look like they have bubbles inside it. Obviously, daddy long legs are not just daddys. They also can be females. These ordinary house spiders, are really nothing to yell and scream about like you used to.

The Cow
My second favorite animal is 100% a cow.( My first is the moon jellyfish). I love cows because they're such kind, cute animals. I mostly see cows that are red, black, white and brown. Only females produce the yummy, creamy and perfect milk sitting on your table. That's because only females have utters. Baby cows are called calfs, and in my opinion they are super adorable. A popular habitat for cows is farms. Healthy cows eat fresh grass right from the ground. Most cows weigh about 600-1000 lbs. These big, amazing animals are soooooooooooooooooooo cool to learn about. Personally, I want to be a cow sitting in the sun of a beautiful farm. ''AHHHHHHHHHHHH.''

The Goldfinch
Birds are awesome animals, but they're not my favorite. My mom definitely disagrees with me and my opinion. This is her favorite bird, but she does not know as much as you would guess. She wishes she knew more about them. One thing she does know is that goldfinches live in the north-east part of America. Like most birds, they feed on worms and other insects. This picture is showing a male goldfinch, because females are brown and not as interesting. Since these are pretty rare birds, whenever my mom or me see one, they make us feel happy.

The Raccoon
Just like me, many kids and adults have been through fears of the so-called "vicious" animal, The Raccoon. I was scared of this for I'd say about two years of my life. My shutters always had to be closed at night because there was a tree outside my window that had a whole family of raccoons living in it. That's how my fear started. These animals can commonly carry rabies. Their bites, if they have rabies, can be very dangerous. Rabies is a disease that an animal can get from a different animal that gives them a foamy mouth. This also can make raccoons crazy. They usually live in high trees, under trees, or in the ground. These animals, though, are nocturnal and are very intelligent. They usually eat mice, small birds, and bugs. Raccoons are really not as bad as they seem. If someone was to research about a raccoon itself, and put it into a piece of writing, I think that piece would interest a lot of people.

The Box Jellyfish
One of the most interesting animals to me is the Box Jellyfish. This animal is so cool and has awesome features. One reason why I love the box jellyfish and why it interests me is because all jellies have a bell-shaped body, with the exception of the Box Jellyfish which has a box-shaped body. This jelly also is extremely dangerous. The most dangerous of its kind is the Australian Sea Wasp or the Australian Box Jellyfish. This deadly sea creature can kill up to five humans. This animal also feeds on different animals than most jellies. Most jellyfish eat small fish or plankton, but this jellyfish will kill bigger things because it has so much venom in its sting. So if you ever see a jellyfish with a box-shaped body, there's only one thing that should go through your mind: FIND YOUR WAY OUT OF WHEREVER YOU ARE!
