The Bumble Bee

It landed on my hand. I did not know what it was. It felt fuzzy-ish. I looked around the playground in kindergarten, and saw kids running and screaming as the bees chased them.

Ever since that day, I've always loved bumble bees. Most kids are afraid of them. I know why. Most bees have stingers, but the stings don't hurt at all compared to a wasp. Like most bees, they feed on pollen and nectar. They also live in nests. They will die if they sting only when their stinger remains inside of you. They also make honey like most bees do. They live in colonies, and work as a team. If you think about it, there is NO reason to scream when you see a bumble bee. Be their friend. [Wasps are a different story]!
